Wild West Songwriters Festival is happening this weekend in Historic Deadwood as well as the Trails of Tales Songwriter Festival happening in the same town at the same time. October 17-18 2025
Bubba Startz, founder of The Scene Projects, will be playing 4 writers rounds (or more) and two full shows over the course of the two days at venues around the little town of Deadwood, SD. He (I) will be finishing both evenings at Lil's above the Midnight Star on Main Street with Saturday night's show being precluded by Boozy Bingo presented by Tunes and Thrills. October 18, 2025 at 7 PM
There is also a new Startz and Endz album on the horizon as Bubba teamed up with some of the most talented musicians in the Black Hills, SD to create this record. Tom Frear (Cottonwood Recording) played drums, guitar, produced, mixed and mastered this beautiful collection of songs featuring Dyami Giroux on bass guitar and Wild West Songwriter Festival Regional Songwriter Competition contestant Johnny Hastings on guitar. This album is a mix of alternative, ska, reggae, rock and blues that is sure to impress all the long time fans of the band. Keep your ears tuned for this one coming before the end of the year.
Bubba is also teaming up with Black Sheep Kid Music founder and award winning performer El Pablo 1X for another tour this fall. The pair are hitting the road with shows in Memphis, TN before covering the Josie Music Awards in Nashville, TN on November 2nd and heading to Minnesota again for a run of shows around the Twin Cities on November 7-9. Details on these shows will be available in a future edition of The Pulse.
Stay tuned here every week for news on upcoming shows and catch up on the happenings around The Scene.
